Before you come to your appointment at Diamond Heart Tattoo, please do your best to ensure the area to be tattooed is clean and hair free as possible. We recommend a shower or a bath beforehand followed by a trim of the area. Do not worry about shaving with a razor as we will do this for you and we couldn't work within 5cm of any accidental cuts. The only exception to this is for areas with beard hair or on the head, for which we recommend having a clean shave at the barbers first. For larger pieces we recommend moisturising the area twice a day for at least a week before the date of your appointment.

Your Tattoo Artist would have communicated with you via email or phone and will recommend a cream to use after you have had a tattoo completed. The best to do is have all of your aftercare products ready at home; clingfilm or sterile dressings, surgical tape, antibacterial soap, and an SPF 50 sun lotion for later sun exposure one the tattoo is FULLY healed.

Please be aware that we have a strict no drugs and alcohol policy as it is against the law to tattoo someone who is under the influence, so please do not turn up to your appointment intoxicated. Please arrive wearing appropriate clothing for the placement of the tattoo, or you can bring it with you to change into when you arrive, please make sure that the artist will be able to access the placement area. We recommend wearing black as ink may get splashed on clothing during the tattooing process, and also to ensure if the wrapping leaks on your journey home that it won't stain.
